Chamber Orchestra
Chamber Orchestra is an advanced-level orchestra class open only to 7th and 8th grade students who have musical experience on any of the following instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass. Students must have completed an audition at the end of the previous school year to be enrolled in this ensemble. Musicians in this ensemble must meet the expectations of the director to keep their spot. This class performs often and represents the high quality of musicianship of our program.

Concert Orchestra
Concert Orchestra is an beginning/intermediate-level ensemble and is open only to 7th and 8th grade students who have some musical experience on any of the following instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Piano.
This class performs often and represents the highest caliber of musicianship in our string program. Students must audition in May at the end of the school year in order to be accepted to enroll in this class.

Wind Ensemble
Our Wind Ensemble is an audition-based group comprised of the most advanced winds and percussion students. The music studied in this class is very challenging, pushing high school level musical literature. Students are expected to go above and beyond with their daily practice habits, as the music we play is very fast and challenging. Students must audition in May at the end of the school year in order to be accepted to enroll in this class.

Concert Band
Our concert band course is reserved for any sixth grade students who have little or no musical experience and who would like to learn how to play a wind instrument. In this class, you will learn how to read music, how to hold the instrument, and how to perform your instrument well. In the beginning band class, you have the option of picking any of the following instruments: Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, and Tuba. Percussion is only an option for students who have been in our program at least one year.

String Orchestra
Our string orchestra meets during the regular school day. This class is reserved for any students who have little or no musical experience and who would like to learn how to play a stringed instrument. In this class, you will learn how to read music, how to hold the instrument, and how to perform your instrument well. In this class, you can pick from any of the following instruments: Violin, Viola, and Cello. No audition is necessary to join this class.
Jazz Band
Our jazz band meets after school. Commitment to our after school rehearsals is mandatory for any student wishing to participate. We perform for school functions and community events by invite. We study different genres/styles of music, from Latin, to blues, to rock, to swing, and more! The music is challenging, yet fun. Audition may be required, and this ensemble is open to any student at Granada. Students must have at least one year of musical experience to participate. Students might be required to rent their own instrument for this optional activity.
