Communication Apps: Band App and Remind App
Communication is very important here at Granada Middle School Band and Orchestra! We have a lot to offer during the school year, and with all of the busyness we all go through, it can be so easy to forget when your child has homework due, when parent conferences are, and when other events are about to come up!
Let us help! Sixth grade music classes will be using Remind, a safe method of communication between Mr. Silva and the students and parents of the Instrumental Music Program. Of all the methods of communication, Remind is Mr. Silva's most often used form of communication. You will receive very important updates sent right to your cell phone (or email, if you prefer). And no worries - Mr. Silva will never see your child's cell number, nor will your child see his! Very safe...very convenient!
7th and 8th grade music classes will be using an app called Band App.

• Your personal contact information is not visible to me or the school.
• I can send announcements to the entire class or direct messages in individual and group conversations (if the student is over the age of 13).
• I may choose to receive messages on Remind.
• All messages are recorded and easily accessible in case they need to be referenced in the future.
• Messages from my class will be sent directly to your phone or email account
String Orchestra and Concert Band classes will be using the Remind App.
Instructions on how to sign up for this app will be provided in the "Welcome Back Packet" which will be distributed to your child the first week of school.

(These classes will only use this app, and will not be using Remind this school year).
